Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Archon Development LLC ("Archon," "we," "us") handles information across our website (builtbyarchon.com) and our iOS and web applications (the "Services").

1. Overview

We aim to collect as little personal information as possible and to be clear about what we collect and why. We do not sell your personal information.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

When you contact us or use certain features, you may give us information such as your name, email address, and the contents of your messages.

Information collected automatically

Our Services may collect limited technical information needed to operate them, such as:

• Device and app version, operating system, and crash diagnostics
• Purchase status — whether an in-app purchase or trial is active, together with an anonymous app-generated identifier used to restore purchases across your devices. This identifier is not linked to your name, email address, or Apple ID.
• Approximate location inferred from network requests (e.g. via server logs — not stored beyond standard log retention)

Information that stays on your device

Some of our apps are local-first: the content you create in them never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us or to anyone else. In Semper, this covers everything you track — your lists, items, check-offs, streaks, and reminders. They are stored only in the app's local database on your device and are included in your own device backups if you have them enabled. We cannot read them, and deleting the app deletes them.

• To diagnose problems, fix bugs, and prevent abuse
• To respond to your support requests and communications
• To comply with legal obligations

4. Third-party services

We use a small set of trusted service providers to run the Services:

• Cloudflare — website hosting and edge infrastructure
• Supabase — database and backend infrastructure for our account-based apps, LollyStash and Vor (stores account data and app content you create). Not used by Semper, which keeps all of its data on your device.
• Expo — push notification delivery for apps that send remote notifications (processes device push tokens). Semper's reminders are scheduled locally on your device and are not sent through this service.
• Apple — App Store distribution and in-app purchase processing
• RevenueCat — in-app purchase management for apps that offer purchases, including Semper (receives your purchase status and the anonymous identifier described above, so purchases can be validated and restored)
• Sentry — crash and error reporting (receives diagnostic reports when an app crashes or hits an error: device model, OS and app version, and the technical stack trace). We have configured it not to send IP addresses or device identifiers, and it never receives the content you create in our apps.

Each processes data only as needed to provide its service and under its own privacy terms. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own advertising or marketing.

We do not use advertising networks, and we do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. None of our apps ask for permission to track, because none of them do.

5. Children's privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K)

We take children's privacy seriously and comply with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the GDPR protections for children ("GDPR-K").

Some of our apps (such as LollyStash) are designed for use by parents managing their family's finances. In these cases, children do not have their own accounts or logins — all account data is provided and controlled by the parent or guardian, and we do not collect personal information directly from children.

• We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without parental consent.
• We do not condition a child's participation in an activity on disclosing more information than is reasonably necessary.
• If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child without the required parental consent, we will delete it promptly.

6. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, then delete or anonymize it. Diagnostic and analytics data is retained for a limited period and in aggregated form where possible.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, email hello@builtbyarchon.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
